What did we do this week that we will be able to use in the classroom?

This week we looked at RSS. I was very excited to set up the Bloglines feature because I do tend to look at my other classmates blogs and now I am able to spend much less time moving from one to another because they are all in one place. I think that this is a great program and it sure helps with less search time on topics. I am going to continue to add to my Bloglines as I find other blogs that I am interested in.

Flickr was a very easy program to use. I looked around and uploaded just a small amount of photos but it will be something that I can see myself using in the future. I have not shared photos in a while because the time has just not been there so it was nice to have and navigate through another tool for uploading/sharing photos.

Lastly, our group looked at the benefits of Wikis and Nings. Wikis are something that I could use at the Kindergarten level over Nings. Kindergarteners are not ready for a social network at their age but I think that they can navigate a Wiki with basic instructions.

I think that this week has provided me with some very valuable information, programs, and skills that I am looking forward to continuing.

I also agree with you regarding last week's class. I also find the bloglines has been my life a bit more simiple. I also found flickr to be interesting and easy. And, I agree that the week's class gave us some interesting programs to work/play with.

Glad that you found them interesting - I hope they are timesavers as well - it's putting any new idea into practice that is the most difficult.
