Web design knowledge is critical for IT leaders so that they can design different sites that meet the needs of different teachers, students, and families in different places. Not all sites are run the same or look the same and by having the knowledge, leaders can create what they want and need to produce a website that has the information they see as vital and important.
Not only is knowledge important in creating websites but it is also important when maintaining or fixing them. The IT leaders should know how to fix problems and be able to help those who are not as knowledgeable in this area.
The leaders can also help those who are starting out and provide information that would be good to have on a site and things to avoid when creating.
