Good web design is very important in education. Families are using the web more to find out information for their children in the form of activities that they can play and schools they might attend. Having a web page design that is easily accessible and can be navigated with ease is very welcoming. People want to get to what they are looking for and do not want to be clicking all over to find it.
When I am searching the web for activities for my students, I like when they are right to the point and do not have me clicking all over the place just to find an idea or activity page. This goes for learning games as well. I look for sites that my kindergarteners can navigate on their own with little help from myself.
I think this is true for families as well. Educational sites as well as school websites need to be friendly and have the information that families are looking for. People do not have a lot of time on their hands these days so educational sights need to be easy to navigate, updated regularly, and have the information that families are looking for.
